What changes
How it usually goes
On Handy
Posting your job on a lead-gen site and getting calls from trades an hour away, with a fee baked into every quote.
Post it once and only trades who serve your suburb can bid — for free.
Not knowing if the person turning up holds a licence.
Licence and ABN on every profile, and every listing checked by a person.
Paying extra because the tradie paid for your lead.
Trades pay nothing to hear from you, so there's nothing to pass on.
What you get
Everything below is built and working in the beta today.
- Post a job
- Describe the job once. Licensed trades who serve your suburb see it and bid with a price — you pick who you like the look of.
- Local only
- Search by trade and suburb, or let trades local to you find your job. Either way, it's the businesses that serve your area.
- Licence and ABN
- Shown on every profile. A blue tick means Handy has checked the licence with NSW Fair Trading.
- Straight to the tradie
- A quote request goes to the business you chose, and you talk to them directly.
- Photos of real jobs
- Trades add photos of their own work, not stock images.
- No tools to learn
- No scheduling, no project boards, none of the things a trade business uses. Just the job and the bids on it.
